Ladies First!

I was opening our back door on Friday, and Hayes started to walk in, but then backed out and said, "ladies first." I asked him where he learned that and he said Shaggy (from Scooby Doo).

Hayes is really into Scooby Doo right now!

Pumpkins & Gourds

Here are pumpkins and gourds we saw at Bandy's Pumpkin Patch. I don't know the names of any of these so I'll improvise.

Old shriveled looking pumpkins...

Gourds that look like green pumpkins...

Boo!

Field Trip!

Tuesday morning was Hayes's first field trip with his PreK class from Washington Elementary. We all met at Extreme Sports otherwise known as the jump place.

Here is the gym Nazi giving instructions...
Hayes is on the front row, white shirt sitting right in front of her.

Hayes went straight for the rings. Then followed back on all the bars.

His favorite thing was the trampoline.

And he also spent a lot of time in the ball pit.

He also spent some time getting tugged between Brooke and Felicity.

Felicity won. This is Hayes's favorite friend in his class. I hear her name quit a bit at our house, on the way to school, pulling into school, leaving school and driving home.
Well the one thing Hayes didn't get to complete while he was there is swinging on the ball and dropping down into the pit full of sponges. He swung out,but would not drop down into the pit. So he has to try that again on our next trip.

Hayes along with most of the other kids were not very happy when it came time to leave! Hayes cried, so I promised we would come back. They are open for preK free jump every Saturday night from 6-7pm. So maybe next Saturday if we aren't doing anything.

Da Bears

Bandy's Pumpkin Patch

On Saturday we went to Bandy's Pumpkin Patch in Johnston City about 15 minutes from our house.

Here we are on the hayride.

Corn kernel bin in the fun barn! They had a small jump machine, a slide and these corn bins. This was Hayes's favorite thing to do.

Roasting some hot dogs!

Hayes and Eli in the pumpkin wagon.

Old satellite dish?

Slide in the fun barn.
More fun in the corn.
This is it!

Here is a picture of the corn maze at Bandy's. We did not enter.

Great family fun at Bandy's!

Crowns Event is tonight!

Okay, so this is my first time setting up a Thirty-One booth. I'm excited and nervous.
Here is a drawing giveaway I'm doing as people stop by the booth.

The Demi Purse in black with a notepad, Milano cookies, napkins that say "In handbags I'm a size 4" and "Bless You" tissues.

Can't wait to bless some lady with this!

Harvest Pumpkin Dip

I just made this pumpkin dip for our play date in the morning at our house. I have apples, pears and graham crackers to serve with it, and it is very yummy. (If our Kroger wasn't so crappy I would have gotten the graham cracker sticks instead). If you like pumpkin stuff, try this! I would back off some of the powdered sugar, so it is not quite as rich.

from Taste of Home

Ingredients:

1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
2 cups confectioners’ sugar
1 can (15 ounces) solid-pack pumpkin
3 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and confectioners’ sugar. (Picky Apple note: Be sure to follow this step instead of just dumping everything in the bowl like I did!) Gradually add the pumpkin, pie spice, vanilla and ginger; beat until smooth. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. Serve with fruit. Refrigerate leftovers.

Hayes as T-Pain...Scooby Doo

Here is Hayes playing with the T-Pain app on the ipad. For those of you that do not know, T-Pain is a rapper that uses an auto tune pitch correction effect (that sounds like a synthesized voice).

"You don't want no drama, no drama"

In the words of the Black Eyed Peas (I'm a long time Fergie fan! I'm talking Stacy Ferguson from K-I-D-S Incorporated).

Anyway - Eli's new nickname is DRAMA!

He is staying true to what they say about a second-born (with the exception of me of course...although I now have four other step/half siblings, so I don't really feel like a second born now) emotional, adventuresness, feeling the need to constantly compete for first-place, etc.

Is this why he only takes several 15-30 minute naps on a good day?

Is this why he constantly likes to be held? He can be crying and the minute I reach down and touch him he stops.

Now I do NOT feel as though I'm spoiling him cause I have plenty to do around here.

Also, the past three weeks Drama has decided to wake up every night anywhere from 2-5 times. Most times he goes right back to sleep in less than 5 minutes, but that recurring interrupted sleep is weighing heavily on some people in this house.

Alright...Drama is crying. Gotta Go!

Bless him!
