Nana and Pops

We spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday night at Nana & Pops. Nana didn't get there until LATE since she was flying in from Wisconsin. Saturday we went to Greenbrier Farms and then all the family came over for lunch. All the cousins had a great time playing together and running up and down the stairs.

The Fortners

Scott, Lynn and Mia came over to Kirk and Gail's to visit us and meet Eli.

Thanks so much for coming over guys! It really meant a lot! I hate that Sheldon wasn't able to make it, and that we didn't get to spend more time together. Hopefully next time.

Knock Knock

Got my first random knock, knock joke from Hayes this morning.

Hayes: Knock, Knock
Lindsay: Who's there?
Hayes: Hayes
Lindsay: Hayes who?
Hayes: Hayes burp

Off to Goodie and Pops

We spent Wednesday and Thursday night in Easley at Kirk and Gail's. Hayes had so much fun playing outside, riding the golf cart and going over to the pond.

Friends

Thankfully I was able to go by Amy and Eric's and Kerri was there with Saylor. YAY!!! I was so glad we got to spend time together even if it was only for an hour.

Here is one of my favorite pictures from the trip. We were all holding babies and wanted a picture, so Hayes took this one for us.

More of Ashlyn and Hayes

Swinging on the porch. Hayes has a black eye and bruised up legs.
Hayes didn't want to look, but I thought this picture turned out cute.

Aunt T's and Uncle Alan's

Our first visit was at The Pruitt's in Greer. Hayes and Ashlyn were busy riding her battery powered truck during the day and running around outside.

Ashlyn (4) and Hayes (3)

Getting ready to make cupcakes with Aunt Tuesday. Please notice the pink jacket Ashlyn has on. Ashlyn and Hayes were going outside one morning and it was still cold. Hayes came out of Ashlyn's room wearing a velour hooded jacket just like the one Ashlyn has on only it was brown with a butterfly instead of heart. She had put it on him. It was hilarious, and I didn't get a picture of it. I let him wear it the next morning too.

First Trip to SC This Year!

It was treacherous getting there but we finally made it after 12 LONG hours, and hitting Atlanta right at 5pm last Monday. We had a great time in the upstate and I was so glad to see so many of you. Eli was worn out from meeting everyone, and had his longest sleep from 10pm-6am while there. Since last Thursday night he's been sleeping for 6-8 hours through the night.

Over the next week or so I'll be featuring a picture everyday from our trip!

The trip back was mostly smooth sailing except for a slight delay due to a wreck. Here is Hayes passed out during this part. I was at a standstill by the way when I snapped this. Bless him!

Here is Hayes holding Eli for the first time, and Eli is 7 weeks old. He had no interest before, and not so sure he liked it.

Visit from The James's

The James' made it to Illinois to spend the week with us and meet Eli! Here is Hayes, Eli, Garrett and Rhett. Garrett and Rhett kept Hayes super BUSY and wore him out every day.

Here is Sheldon's sister Michelle with sweet Eli. Aunt Chelle was kind enough to take Hayes with her and the boys on an overnight trip to St. Louis for two full fun-filled days! Right when they returned from their trip Sheldon and I headed out to see a movie, Date Night, and dinner (well appetizer and dessert. Popcorn was our main course.) Thanks Michelle! We really enjoyed getting out without the kids.

Saturday we went to the Crab Orchard Refuge Visitor's Center and walked a short path out to the lake and then back through the woods.

We really enjoyed having them here, and hope you come back for another visit soon!

Thanks Easter Bunny! BAAK! BAAK!

This first picture is what I saw when I woke up.

Here is what the Easter Bunny brought.

Before Hayes came in the bedroom and woke me up with his sugar cookie sucker he opened all the eggs. Some of them had money and some of them had jelly beans. He ate all the jelly beans!

The boys on Easter morning. Notice Sunny the Chocolate Bunny...he had that thing eaten by 7:30am.

Sheldon and Hayes flew the kite the Easter Bunny brought. It was a great windy day.

Unfortunately we didn't go to church because Hayes's nose has been dripping snot since Wednesday with what I suspect is allergies (since no fever). We had a fun family day and went to the park after flying the kite.
I was talking to Hayes about the meaning of Easter before he said his prayers, and he said, "Super Hayes can save Jesus from the cross."

We really missed not being with family on Easter!

6 Weeks Old

Here's little Eli this morning at 6 weeks old. He usually likes to start his mornings around 5am with a little stomach discomfort. Then he spends an hour or so smiling and looking around after breakfast. He's usually napping again by 9:30am. I can't believe he is already 6 weeks old. He's awake more during the day and I noticed he was trying to put his hands together yesterday.

5 Weeks Old

Better late than never.
